Hexagon flowers are great but what about a quilt made from actual flowers, a big burst of colour, something that could be so scrappy that no two flowers are the same. A project where you slow down and remove yourself from today’s fast paced world and work one bloom at a time. 

In 2023 Sharon finished her ‘Mega Hexie Quilt’ and has embarked on the journey that is her ‘Memories are Forever Quilt’. Same but DIFFERENT! Swapping the old trusted hexagon for the Lilabelle Lance Creations ‘Indulgence Bloom’ and to create the same look of blooms close together, she has downsized the ‘shield’ shape/ piece that joins the flower so that the flowers would sit nice and close and create a quilt full of fussy cut blooms as unique as the maker. The quilt as pictured includes blocks that have been digitally fussy cut from Tula Pinks “Roar Range” as well as having a few older prints added to the mix.
